Device-to-device communication offers a promising technology for the 5G network that aims to enhance data rate, reduce latency and cost, improve energy efficiency, provide other desired features. The heterogeneous (5GHN) with decoupled association strategy of downlink (DL) uplink (UL) is solution challenges faced in 4G (4GHN). research presented this paper evaluates performance 4GHN as well DL-and-UL-coupled (DU-CP) access scheme comparison 5GHN DL-and-UL-decoupled (DU-DCP) terms efficiency throughput four-tier networks. are optimized both scenarios, i.e., DU-CP DU-DCP, results compared. Detailed analyses DU-DCP schemes were conducted help comparisons achieved by implementing genetic algorithm (GA) particle swarm optimization (PSO). Both these algorithms suited non-linear problem under investigation which search space large. simulation have shown gives better than efficiency. PSO achieves an 12 Mbits/joule 42 whereas GA yields 28 55 DU-DCP. proposed method compared those three schemes. show using outperforms methods.
